Love ya Whit and I love this. OK my one thing is going to be responding gently to my children when I want to yell. LOL!

I hesitate to give the seemingly sappy answer, but knowing the desperateness of my own heart for Him...

Truly, I feel if I do the ONE THING -- abiding in His Word and yielding to His Spirit moment by moment -- the next things I do or don't do as a wife and mom and sister and friend will be fruitful. My messes and mishaps will be covered by His grace.

"One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in His temple." Psalm 27:4

Luke 10:42 ~ "...one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

I love that it "will not be taken away" from us! :)

Excellent Whitney. Good luck with that. How about teaching a 6 year old or a 4 year old. Send along any tips you learn in the trenches!

hmmm! keep it coming! this sounds like a great start to a mom's summer bible study series!!
my one thing, James 1:19 ... be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry - Ok, so that's 3, so I am working on the slow to become angry. That was especially difficult an hour ago when my 3 yr old pushed the 18 month old off the slide in the playroom :) Thank you Holy Spirit for calming me quickly when I saw the baby going over the side of the slide.

looking forward to more!

Loved this!!!

My one thing? To hit my knees BEFORE I hit the phone. Processing life with my friends is wonderful but it must not take the place of prayer.

Keep posting these encouraging clips. You are a natural!
